GIO*’s Core Intelligence Metrics: Shot Quality & Conversion
What it means: Goes beyond raw shot counts. Looks at chance quality (location, body part, assist type) and whether teams convert these chances into goals.
Data source: Match event logs (shots on target/off target, goal descriptions, expected goal (xG) proxies where available).
How GIO* uses it: Teams with high shot quality but low conversion may be “due” to regress upward. Teams with poor shot creation but high conversion may be overperforming.
